I didn't feel like shelling out 2-5k for a cabinet specifically made for a UST projector, but knew I wanted a fully automated setup. As in, screen goes up, projector moves into place, and does the reverse when powered off. My wife wanted a cabinet that matched the aesthetic of our new house. It was near impossible to find something mid-century modern that she was happy with, but once we found what we wanted we knew we needed a drawer for the projector to sit on. I could make my own, I could have gone with a manual sliding one, but I'm lazy. I wanted something that just works.

This is where the Spectra slider comes in. I was able to use a nice $300 entertainment center that the wife was happy with. I had to make a few modifications to the middle shelf to allow the room of the slider and projector, but it was simple enough. Setup was stupid easy. Plug it in, adjust the distance and wait 30 seconds, power it off and after 10 seconds, power it back on and it is locked into memory.

I have it paired with a Vividstorm 120" screen and a BenQ V7050i and it is the best configuration I have ever had. I have never been happier with my home theater. Now, I just need to upgrade my receiver and speakers (my early apologies to my wife).

All in, $750 for a completed, custom UST cabinet feels like a phenomenal deal and it looks great, too!

I took a couple daylight photos and attached them to show the projector in the extended position when the screen is up and the closed position when the screen is down and projector is off.

We just got our AWOL UST projector and install it on a standard TV stand using the Spectra platform. Really easy to install and set up. It works very smoothly and seems very sturdy.

After purchasing an UST projector for my smallish theater room, SWMBO decided that the media cabinet was now too far away from the wall and encroaching into the floor space. Upon searching for a solution I came across the Spectra sliding tray. I found a few similar items online but they all seemed to have a thinner top tray that I didn't feel would hold up long term our worse yet, give a little when extended and warp the image! I'm happy to say that with the Spectra that is not an issue. No sagging at all, just smooth, quiet extension to the exact distance every time. With the tray installed I was able to push my media cabinet back to 4" off the wall and have plenty of room to throw a 120" image. If you're looking at this tray, just do it! You won't regret it.

I bought this tray as it was the only one without reviews of it sagging under the weight of a UST Projector. I can confirm that it does not sag with a Nexigo Aurora Pro on it! Not only that, it was impeccably packaged, very quiet in operation, and extremely easy to use/setup. It blends right in with our TVStand and I appreciate it. I barely even realize it’s there.

The Formovie Theater is a five star product - Better than my LG TV

My neighbor introduced me to the Formovie Theater he uses this unit in his home theater room. I find the impact of viewing from a laser projector is much different than viewing from a TV. This factor is seldom mentioned in the reviews of the Formovie Theater projector. As a movie goer, I can always see the visual difference on the big screen in the form of colors and depth. That same sensation can be reproduced using the Formovie Theater. My home screen is 100 inches, but it is as close to being in a theater as you can get. Now I watch all the movies and sports on the Formovie it leaves all the flat screen TVs in the dust! This is the best product I have ever purchased!
